Clyde

Clyde's owners sent a couple of great photos of Clyde in action along with this nice note:

Hi there,

We gratefully received the results on Clyde’s DNA test and we were so surprised to find he is Collie, Chow Chow and Dalmatian. We had not thought of any of those breeds, especially Chow Chow, so it came as a great surprise! Anyway we’re attaching two photos of our sweet and happy Clyde in action and he sends bundles of face-licking thank you’s!!

God bless you all,

Rob & Yvette

Clyde's DNA Test Results:

Mr. Ecko

Thanks to Susan for sharing a photo and DNA test results of her Big Dog: Mr. Ecko.

I just received the results of Mr. Ecko's DNA test. I knew his parents so I was not surprised by the Labrador Retriever results, but considering he is an 11month old 80 pounder, I was a bit shocked to see Boston Terrier! It is quite nice to know that I have a true mutt on my hands. Mr. Ecko is so sweet and energetic. I know he has the potential of becoming an amazing dog - as soon as he works out his puppy kinks(which is difficult to handle when he is practically at my waist!)
  • Boston Terrier: Level 3
  • Labrador Retriever: Level 3
  • German Shepherd: Level 4
  • German Shorthaired Pointer: Level 4
  • Basenji: Level 5
  • Poodle: Level 5
Thanks again,
Susan

Carley - The Choweilab

We just got the results back from Carley's DNA test. We were completely surprised! We didn't care what she was, but she is the perfect dog in the world and everyone we know wants a dog like her- not likely to happen! Now if we could only figure out why she is only 30 lbs! Thank you so much for the information!!!

Megan

Carley's results:
  • Chow Chow: Level 2
  • Weimaraner: Level 3
  • Labador Retriever: Level 5
Thank you Megan!

Gromit - That Little Rascal!

We received this nice note from Gromit's owner after she received her results. Thank you Rachel!

Gromit is an excitable 7-month old we got from a local animal shelter. The shelter thought she was a husky mix, and although she hasn't grown to be more than 45 pounds we thought so too. As it turns out Gromit is more of a crazy mutt than we expected - seven different breeds!
  • Labrador Retriever: Level 3
  • Australian Shepherd: Level 4
  • Bernese Mountain Dog: Level 4
  • Brittany: Level 4
  • Saluki: Level 4
  • Keeshond: Level 5
  • Siberian Husky: Level 5
We love her very very much no matter her breeds, but since a few of the breeds have destructive chewing habits it does explain some things ;) (see attached picture) We had some troubles with shipping (my fault) and the customer service from Happy Dog DNA and Brett in particular was second to none. Thanks so much!

Ellie and Abbey

Ellie and Abbey are a pair of beautiful, adopted mixed-breed girls. The following was sent in by her owner:

Dear HappyDogDNA,

Abbey (on the right) has been in my life for almost 10 years now, and being such a beautiful dog, everyone always asks me "what kind of dog is she?" We assumed she was a Golden/Chow/Shepherd mix. It turns out we weren't too far off. Surprisingly, however, Abbey is primarily a Bull Dog. I know, I can't figure that out either, but, she is also a Chow and German Shepherd, as we thought. We were also very curious about our very sassy Shepherd/Beagle mix. She has an attitude, but is she ever lovable! Ellie is a Norwegian Elkhound/Lab/Bull Terrier mix. We see the Elkhound, and understand how we thought she was part Shepherd, but were we ever shocked to find out that there wasn't any Beagle in her! It didn't really matter what they are genetically....we love them unconditionally anyway! Thanks for being able to provide us with the interesting DNA info!

Ellie's results:
  • Norwegian Elkhound: Level 2
  • Labrador Retriever: Level 3
  • Bull Terrier: Level 4
  • Lhasa Aspo: Level 4

Abbey's Results:
  • Level 2: Bulldog
  • Level 3: Chow
  • Level 4: Bichon Frise
  • Level 4: German Shepherd
Thanks to Amy for sending in the note and the photo. It's always fun to hear from our customers!
