BioPet Vet Lab in Knoxville News Sentinel

The Knoxville News Sentinel profiled BioPet Vet Lab's new DNA Breed Identification Test that has been available since January 1. BioPet Vet Lab is a division of EDP Biotech, a company that also is researching a cancer marker test that is about to be re-tested in trials. Exciting stuff.

The DNA Breed Identification Test is available from www.happydogdna.com for $59.95 with free shipping through January.

I'm hoping to begin posting photos and stories from satisfied customers after they receive their test results.

Check back soon!

I would love to send in photos and the results of my DNA test of my dog but I sent the results in 3 weeks ago, and have not received any information yet. Their ad promises results in 1 week. I hope this is a legit company. I losing my patience. Betsy Joseph, WV

I also sent in my test 3 weeks ago and have not gotten a response. The ad does promise results in 1 week, but that is definitely not the case.

I am very interested in how long your results take and if you believe them. I was going to buy a kit until I saw the two postings stating the slow service.

I sent my sample in 4 weeks ago, and have called multiple times. They always tell me it will be 10 more days...

I have heard that this test is backordered for over one month. My husband and I are looking at dog-dna.com. Our friends had great results and a wonderful experience with them.

I've been searching online for the best dog DNA test. I see that www.dog-dna.com is selling the Canine Heritage test which my aunt sent in in December and is still waiting for the results. They've sent her a couple of emails saying that it's not working.

I just received Nash's results. When I adopted him from the pound, he was a 6 week old lab mix. He was to be the companion for my AKC 7 week old lab. They are now approaching their first birthdays and neither look alike or act alike. Nash's results show he is primarily boxer and mastiff. I love both pups equally but was very happy to learn of Nash's ancestry.
Thanks

Have to agree with the other posters. It has been a month since I mailed them the test kit and have not heard anything from them. They do not respond to emails. There advertising is obiviously lies since they do not deliver on their stated timeframe and will not even acknowledge emails requesting ETAs.

Be VERY aware of doing business with this company

BioPet Vet Lab had equipment problems early on and then discovered they had defective collection devices which created significant delays. However, they are getting caught up and customers are getting their long-awaited results.

Happy Dog DNA responds to ALL emails within hours of receiving them - often within minutes. If I have overlooked an email, please contact me at sales@happydogdna.com .

I had great results. I posted a little contest on my blog. I will be sure to email you the results once the contest ends.
